Woolooware

Wooloware is a small suburb located in the Sutherland Shire in southern Sydney, Australia. The suburb is situated between the more well-known suburbs of Cronulla and Caringbah and is home to a mix of residential, commercial, and recreational areas. One of the key features of Wooloware is its close proximity to Cronulla Beach, which is just a short drive or bike ride away. Cronulla is one of Sydney’s most popular beach destinations, with a wide range of cafes, restaurants, and shops lining the waterfront. Wooloware itself is a largely residential suburb, with a mix of apartments, townhouses, and single-family homes. 

There are several small parks and green spaces in the area, including the Burraneer Bay Foreshore Walk, which offers stunning views of the bay and surrounding bushland. Despite its small size, Wooloware has a few local amenities, including a small shopping center, a pub, and a few cafes and restaurants. 

The suburb is also well-connected to public transportation, with several bus routes running through the area and it’s own train station. Did you know? Woolooware is the Aboriginal name for a muddy track. It reflects the region’s natural low-lying mud flats, salt marsh, and formerly dominant tea tree and black wattle scrub.
