. The Gweagal Aboriginal tribe inhabited the southern banks of the Georges River and Botany Bay, with a presence on the Kurnell Peninsula. While their traditional territory hasn’t been precisely determined, it is thought that they may have covered much of Cronulla-Sutherland- Gymea region.
